Meet Dr. A. Mohammed Idhrees
Dr. A. Mohammed Idhrees, MS, MCh, FAIS, is a Consultant Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon at SIMS Hospital (SRM Institutes for Medical Science), Vadapalani, Chennai. An alumnus of Madurai Medical College and the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology, Trivandrum, he trained further in advanced aortic surgery in Italy.
Over his 18-year career, Dr. Idhrees has introduced 4 innovative surgical techniques and a new embryological classification in cardiac surgery, authored multiple textbook chapters, and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals including the Indian Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Journal of Card Surgery, and Asian Cardiovascular & Thoracic Annals. He serves on the editorial boards of several national and international cardiac surgery journals.
